The leaders of China and Japan agreed to revive a high-level economic dialogue last week, and to strengthen cooperation in health care, the green economy, and other sectors. While it remains to be seen how much will be delivered, this may signal that both sides want to prevent the already chilling bilateral relationship from further deteriorating.
