China's Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) rejected accusations by U.S. intelligence and security agencies that Chinese AI companies distill U.S. frontier models at an industrial scale, calling the claims groundless and threatening countermeasures if Washington uses the issue to suppress Chinese companies.
