In two parallel cases brought by a group of small businesses and by several U.S. states, a three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of International Trade (CIT) ruled yesterday that all of the Trump administration's tariffs imposed under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) are illegal. The Trump administration immediately filed an appeal to the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
