As a celebration of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Russia, Russian President Vladimir Putin started his two-day state visit to China, the same day that the eighth China-Russia Expo kicked off. The two sides continue to tighten their trade ties, as both face increasing sanctions and economic decoupling from Western countries.
