China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has imposed sanctions on Japanese lawmaker Shi Ping, accusing him of spreading "fallacies" on sensitive issues including the history of Japan's invasion of China and disputed islands. The move, announced today, marks the first time Beijing has sanctioned a sitting member of Japan's parliament.
