During a phone call with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken today, Chinese State Counsellor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi urged the United States to stop trying to contain and suppress China. As it is unlikely that the U.S. will change course at this point, and any Chinese retaliation would harm China as well, it remains to be seen what, if any, action China may take in response.
