As we reported previously, several companies requested an extension of the U.S. safeguard tariffs on crystalline silicon photovoltaic products, which have a significant impact on Chinese imports and are set to expire on February 6, 2022. Today the Trade Policy Staff Committee (TPSC) held a virtual public hearing regarding the extension, which will serve as a basis for a recommendation to President Biden on whether to extend the remedy and what specific measure to apply.
