Yesterday, the U.S. Department of Defense released an update to the names of "Chinese military companies" operating directly or indirectly in the United States, pursuant to Section 1260H of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021. The Department identified 188 entities, including major tech companies such as Baidu and Alibaba and auto makers such as BYD, that meet the statutory requirements for inclusion on the 1260H List.
