Based on requests from domestic entities to continue the Section 301 tariffs currently in effect on Chinese goods, the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) announced last week that it will not terminate the tariffs at the moment, and will conduct a review of those tariffs that will consider "the effectiveness of the actions in achieving the objectives of the investigation, other actions that could be taken, and the effects of such actions on the United States economy, including consumers."
