China’s Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) issued a sharp rebuke of the European Union, accusing Brussels of using climate policy as a "guise" for trade protectionism. The statement comes as the EU moves to expand its Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) while simultaneously revising internal environmental targets for its own auto industry.
