China's Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) announced today that it will tighten export controls on dual-use items destined for Japan, citing a need to curb Japanese military capabilities and safeguard national security. The move is the latest escalation from Beijing as geopolitical tensions between the two nations intensify over the status of the Taiwan Strait.
