On April 1, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Keqiang met virtually with President of the European Council Charles Michel and President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen for the 23rd China-EU Summit. Although a large portion of the meeting focused on the Russia-Ukraine war, the two sides also discussed some issues in the area of bilateral economic relations.
