Last week, China’s Communist Party kicked off its fourth plenum of the 20th Central Committee of the CCP, and subsequently the Central Committee put forward its proposals for the country's 15th five-year plan, which was published this week. The blueprint lays out Beijing's priorities for the next five years, including fortifying national security, accelerating manufacturing and technology development, and adjusting trade and investment policies, as the government strives for more domestic industrial and technological resilience and a stronger national security shield.
