Earlier this week, Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) introduced a bill to withdraw Permanent Normal Trade Relations (PNTR) from China, which would raise tariffs on Chinese imports. This bill is one of several that have been introduced recently on this issue, but at this moment none seems likely to be enacted into law.
