Trade officials from China and the United States met in South Korea, where bilateral trade talks led to the announcement today of a temporary truce in the protracted trade conflict. The agreement involves a suspension of some tariffs, export restrictions, and the collection of port fees; a Chinese commitment to make soybean purchases; and details on a TikTok deal coming soon.
