Investment Arbitration Reporter reported yesterday that Huawei "has made good on an earlier threat to lodge arbitration proceedings against Sweden under the China-Sweden bilateral investment treaty (BIT)" in relation to Sweden's ban on Huawei's participation in its 5G network, and that the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) registered a request for arbitration in the case on January 21, 2022.
